Addressing the Unlawful Use of Force and Supporting Survivors
The Cedar Center for Legal Studies (CCLS), in partnership with the Omega Research Foundation, is leading a survivor-centered initiative to address the unlawful use of force by police and state officials in Lebanon. This program provides comprehensive rehabilitation services — including psychological support, legal assistance, and social reintegration — to survivors of police violence and other ill-treatment.
In addition to direct support, the program advocates for human rights-based reforms in law enforcement and raises public awareness through targeted campaigns. Survivor voices are central to the design and implementation of all activities, ensuring that the response is both just and empowering.
Cedar Centre for Legal studies aims to contribute to a more just and accountable law enforcement system in Lebanon.
